TEACHING SERIES

Steadfast
Sundays August 24th until November 6th

squareSTEADFAST“How then shall we live?” is a question asked since the beginning of time and throughout the entire sweep of Church History. The uncertainty of How to Live, to Hope and to Love in the midst of confusion, suffering, marginalization, cultural change, political chaos and violence seems to permeate our current culture.
Know that, no matter where you are in your faith journey, your life will be strengthened by what the Holy Spirit led Peter to write. God inspired Peter to write his first letter, 1 Peter, to encourage fellow strugglers to remain STEADFAST under adversity and to remain STEADFAST in the grace of God.

So, join Mosaic Nashville this fall, as we are encouraged and renewed to live a STEADFAST life through the great book of First Peter.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

GATHERING MOMENTS

September 11th Worship and Brunch Sunday
September 18th Mosaic Gathers in the Round

Fall Baptism

WaterMany in the Mosaic community have been baptized. Every once in awhile we want to ask “Who else?” Baptism is a sign to God, yourself and the world that you are committed to following Christ, that you identify with His death, burial and resurrection and receive the forgiveness He offers through those events, and that you “die” to your old life and come alive to a new life as a follower of Jesus. So, if you have not been baptized and would like to be or have some questions let us know.

A Mosaic Baby Dedication
October 23rd

This is a gathering and a practice where parents pledge to raise the child in the ways of God, the child is dedicated to God and prayed for, and the church agrees to support the child and the parents. If you are interested in being a part of this Baby Dedication or have any questions about a baby dedication, contact Johni Morgan at johni@mosaicnashville.org Mosaic Baby Dedication will be held on

John 3:16 For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

GROW IN COMMUNITY

Connecting with Community

Soul of the CityWalking into a community for the first time can be a threatening thing… we try to be welcoming and helpful to everyone who comes through the door, but we recognize that it takes some times to get one’s bearings. With that in mind, here are some of the ways you can become integrated into the MOSAIC community.

Hang out before and after our gatherings on Sunday– get to know some new people, greet others, have lunch with some new people, discuss the morning and your week.

Welcome Coffee- When someone’s been around for a couple of weeks, we try to hook them up with someone who’s been around for a while for coffee, sharing stories, and just generally saying “hello.” Haven’t had your welcome coffee yet, ready to take others out for a cup of coffee, let us know.

Community Groups

hands-1024x450 Mosaic will be a church of people rather than a place you go. For us, the point is not just going to a church but being church in our daily lives & everyday interactions with others. Within Mosaic, our common life in Christ starts at home & among friends. locations in and around Nashville. For locations, time and more information.

The Belonging
October 23rd at the Morgan Home

Beauty-Red_Grunge_10This is a Mosaic evening designed for those ready to connect with the Mosaic Nashville Community… for those who sense God moving them to do life with the Mosaic Community… for those who long to move from saying, “I go to Mosaic” to saying, “I am part of Mosaic.”
During the evening, we will take a more detailed look at: what are our roles within Mosaic Nashville, what is Mosaic’s role in walking with you as you follow Christ, the Threads (the values of Mosaic), our Core Beliefs and what it really means for us to “Be the Church in Nashville.

“Lord, give me firmness without hardness, steadfastness without dogmatism, love without weakness.” ― Jim Elliot

Serve

graffitidoorIn Mosaic, we strive to live the story by faith, to be a voice of hope and to be known by love. These values are expressed in part through Serve Nashville & Beyond. Every time somebody participates in a Serve project, we become different. Every single person brings new skills, talents and passions to the table. By using our energy and unique gifts to Serve we are practicing resurrection – bringing life out of death, beauty out of tragedy. We can’t do everything but we refuse to do nothing.
