Care Packages for Set Free Church

Care Packages for Set Free Church

Join us in providing Care packages for Project 615, Set Free Church and the homeless within their ministry.

Mosaic Nashville wants to come alongside Project 615 and Set Free Church in a creative and applicable way by providing Care packages for the homeless within their ministry.

The Care package ministry is envisioned to provide those who are first arriving at Set Free Church directly from living on the streets with some very basic hygiene products. Not only is it practical but it gives the men a warm welcome as the walk through the doors in their decision to live at Set Free.

Below we have listed a number of items that would make a great care package!

Also it would be great if the items were placed in a new or lightly used backpack or knapsack.

**** Backpack, Bible, Shaving Cream and Razors, Body wash & Shampoo, Wash Cloth, Towel, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Socks, Notepad, Pens & Pencils, Deodorant
Toilet Paper, Mouthwash, Men’s Health Vitamins, Personal Note, Inspirational Reading

Bring all of some of the items to a Mosaic Gathering for the next 3 gatherings and we will pack the back backs together on November 10th.

THE STORY: We are a community of people who are committed to the future our city. We don’t claim to have it all figured out, but we’re striving to make whatever difference we can.

We are an extension of a larger community called Mosaic Nashville. In Mosaic, we strive to live the story by faith, to be a voice of hope and to be known by love. These values are expressed in part through ServeNashville.

Every time somebody participates in a ServeNashville project, we become different. Every single person brings new skills, talents and passions to the table. We can’t do everything but we refuse to do nothing.

There are over 800 non-profit organizations operating in the Nashville area. We are striving to identify unseen areas of need in our city, and to champion organizations who are doing something about it.

PROJECT 615 is a social enterprise based in Nashville, TN with the basis of their ministry coming from Matthew 25:40 which states, “Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.'”

Project 615’s partner ministry is Set Free Church located in downtown Nashville. Set Free is a church that houses 40+ men who may need some extra support to get back on their feet. At Set Free, these men are given a bed, 3 meals a day, and are offered biblical teaching daily.

Matt & Derek the founders of Project 615 state, “We want to support Set Free in their mission as well as develop applicable and creative ways to offer the homeless and low income of Nashville an opportunity to experience the love of Christ through what we do. We also want to provide an opportunity of service for our volunteers to get involved in what we do at Set Free Church.”
