Who is this Jesus?

Who is this Jesus?

In Luke 9, Jesus asks a question of His Disciples that we all must seek to find resolution with; Jesus asked, ““Who do the crowds say that I am?”

The Disciples do as Jesus ask, they answer with what others think. But, then Jesus is more direct. He moves them to think, to reflect and then to speak up… “But you,” He asked them, “who do you say that I am?”

You see, Jesus did not really want the disciples lives to be driven or founded on the thoughts of others or culture; Jesus wanted His disciples to see and know for themselves who Jesus was.

This is true for us as well…So, join us as we explore a response to the question from Jesus, “Who do you say I am?” in our new series, “Who is this Jesus?”

Luke 9:18 While He was praying in private and His disciples were with Him, He asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” 19 They answered, “John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, that one of the ancient prophets has come back.” 20 “But you,” He asked them, “who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “God’s Messiah!”
