Snapshots of Love

Who is this Jesus?

There are snap-shots throughout Jesus’ life of this deep, stretching, supernatural love.

Jesus’ own life is a story of love.

Within Luke 5 one can see His life giving love being poured out on four distinct individuals.

Jesus even tells a few stories about love. There’s one story of a lost sheep, one of a lost coin and one of a lost son. Read Luke 15.

Jesus’ lifestyle was driven by love. Part of His destiny was to become the epitome of love (Philippians 2:5-11).

Jesus calls us to follow in his ways, and no other element is more defining of those ways than love. We love because he first loved (1 John 4:19).

TALK ABOUT IT: What are some snap-shots of this deep, stretching, supernatural love that you have seen in your own life? How have you been the lover and the beloved?

You see, Jesus did not really want the disciples lives to be driven or founded on the thoughts of others or culture; Jesus wanted His disciples to see and know for themselves who Jesus was.

This is true for us as well…So, join us as we explore a response to the question from Jesus, “Who do you say I am?” in our new series, “Who is this Jesus?”

Luke 9:18 While He was praying in private and His disciples were with Him, He asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” 19 They answered, “John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, that one of the ancient prophets has come back.” 20 “But you,” He asked them, “who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “God’s Messiah!”
